The guidance offers a practical framework structured around seven roles, three processes and three scaling strategies to help governments move from pilots to population-level impact.

OCHA’s Centre for Humanitarian Data released its annual report The State of Open Humanitarian Data 2026. The report shows that despite a tumultuous year for the humanitarian sector with unprecedented funding cuts, short-term mitigation measures and rapid reprioritisation resulted in only a marginal decrease in data availability across crises.

The Global Environmental Data Strategy is UNEP’s roadmap to strengthen the global environmental data ecosystem. It aims to improve the quality, accessibility, interoperability, management and capacity building for environmental data.
